Hello Warhammer Friends, I'm back from the digital grave with tidings of grimdark cheer!

Some of you may have heard whispers of the 4 day Holiday Bazaar event we have planned for the end of this month. We have tons of fun activities planned for all 4 days, with lots of teams hard at work on many different projects.

Does anyone play mostly combat patrol on the regular? I enjoy 40k's sense of scale but often find it hard to have enough time for a full game.

Killteam is more fun from a gameplay perspective, but the sheer spectacle of whole squads moving, fighting and dying is just more exciting to me than tight gameplay focused on objectives sometimes.

Also, does anyone mind playing against "broken" combat patrols? For anyone else who didn't realize, they made the boxes first then the rules and hoc. So some of the boxes are way stronger than the others, with the biggest offenders being the old space Marine, Orks and Necron ones with their big walkers being quite oppressive on a small board. Would it be poor form to not specify that you're bringing one of these and your opponent ends up bringing an Astra Militarum or other weaker force?
