What you need: A Warhammer 40,000 army of the appropriate points value for the game you will play, a whole bunch of 6 sided dice, your campaign pre-registration information (more on that in a bit), and a copy of the Pariah Nexus Crusade book (optional). You will also need to read through our Crusade rules found here.

What is a Narrative Crusade?

A Narrative Crusade is comprised of a series of Warhammer 40,000 games that players participate in over the course of multiple days, weeks, or months. In a Narrative Crusade, the outcome of each battle effects an overarching story that will be told as the campaign progresses. For example, a faction may win a crutial victory and gain controll over a planet, or even an entire sector of space. As characters and units in your own army participate in battles, they will gain experience points and unlock powerful new abilities and bonuses. They may even receive a rare and valuable Crusade Relic to aid them in the long war!

How do I participate in a Narrative Crusade?

Participating in our Narrative Crusade is easy! Side Quest Games uses Administratum in order to track and record all games played over the course of the Crusade. Before sitting down for your first game, you will need to register yourself as a participant in the campaign. Registering this account is free, and can be done so by clicking on our invite link found below. Once you have registered yourself as a campaign participant, you will need to fill out your Campaign Roster with all of the characters and units you plan to use during the Crusade. Once these two steps have been completed, your Crusade pre-registration will be complete, congratulations!

How many points do I need to play?

Pariah Nexus will be played as an "escalation" style Crusade, where armies start off small and amass more units over time. This gives our players a chance to grow their forces by adding new models to their army over the course of the campaign. The following table details the points values associated with each game of the campaign:

Phase One Starts

May 29th: 500 Points

June 12th: 500 Points

June 26th: 750 Points

July 10th: 750 Points

July 24th: 1000 Points

Phase One Ends, Phase Two Starts

August 7th: 1000 Points

August 21st: 1200 Points

September 4th: 1200 Points

September 18th: 1500 Points

October 2nd: 1500 Points

Phase Two Ends, Phase Three Starts

October 16th: 1750 Points

October 30th: 1750 Points

November 13th: 2000 Points

December 4th: 2000 Points

December 18th: Apocalypse

Phase Three Ends, Campaign Ends

When do games start?

Gaming sessions during the campaign are divided into a morning and evening session in order to best accomodate our players schedules. All games will be played during the following time slots:

Morning Session: 12pm - 4pm

Evening Session: 5pm - 9pm

Players are highly encouraged to book their sessions in advance, as space is limited and available spots may fill quickly. If a session you would like to attend is fully booked, you can be added to the wait list. A spot may become available if another player drops out, or is willing to play in a partnered match.

Please be advised: Games will start no later than 20 minutes after the scheduled start time. If you have not arrived within 20 minites of the games scheduled start time for your reserved match without prior accomodation, your spot will be forfeited to a player on the waitlist. If you need to cancel or change a reservation, contact a Campaign Organizer as soon as possible.

How do I earn rewards in game?

There are tons of ways to earn rewards in-game as you participate in the campaign!  All players will earn Experience Points for each Crusade game they play, as well as Victory Points for your Alliance. For detailed information on how you will earn and use these points, click here.

And, for the first time ever, players who participate in the Crusade and complete certain objectives will be awarded with Valor Tokens! Valor Tokens are an exciting new in-store currency that you can earn and redeem for products, prizes, and discounts at Side Quest Games. How much does it cost to participate?

Single-game ticket: $10 each

All Day Pass: $15

Crusade Season Pass: $145 - Pay once and play unlimited games during the entire campaign. Crusade Season Passes also include 10 free guest passes for you or a friend to attend any Narrative Crusade, Wargaming Wednesday, or Miniature Monday event.

Please be advised: If you purchase a Ticket Pack or Season Pass you will still need to register online for all games you plan to attend in order to guarentee your spot. We reccomend ordering at least a few days in advance for all games you plan to attend.
